It’s a safe, structured way to spark their curiosity and give them a taste of freedom on the open water. With expert supervision and loads of hands-on fun, this program helps kids develop independence, teamwork and a love for adventure—all whilst learning how to sail.
Teens
OutThere Sailing is the ultimate way for teens to dive into the thrill of being on the water, offering an action-packed mix of sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing and power boating. Designed for young people aged 12-17, it’s all about having fun, meeting new friends, discovering new skills and getting on the water. This program is perfect for people of all sailing abilities, from first-timers to experienced sailors looking to upskill.
Adults
Start Sailing offers adults an exciting opportunity to discover the world of sailing. Our program combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Led by experienced instructors, you'll gain confidence in both the fundamentals and nuances of sailing. By the end of the week, our goal is to have you sailing unassisted, ready to embrace the freedom and adventure that sailing offers.
Barwon Heads Sailing Association
Welcome to the Barwon Heads Sailing Association, situated along the picturesque Barwon River. This small club is brimming with enthusiasm and a deep love for sailing. Once you've completed one of our courses, you can participate in a range of events, from friendly races to competitive challenges, and even a unique full-day cruise/race known as ‘The Barwon Safari’.
